This panel is part of California’s Climate Action Team Public Health Workgroup quarterly meeting. Speakers will discuss what clinicians are learning about climate change and health and how they can be leaders in catalyzing efforts to address the health impacts of climate change in our communities.

  • Dr. Suhani Mody, Assistant Physician in Chief of Health Promotion & Technology, GSAA-Hayward/Fremont, Kaiser Permanente
  • Barbara Sattler, RN, DrPH, FAAN, Professor, Public Health Program, USF

The meeting will also include a report from the California Department of Public Health on their Focus Groups to Assess Community Health Leaders’ Knowledge and Attitudes on Climate Change as a Public Health Issue; and a discussion of Health Impact Assessments and Climate Change, focused on the recent Health Impact Assessment of the Proposed Cabin Creek Biomass energy Facility in Placer County.
