Unitarian William Perry speaks on reducing nuclear threat July 16

Dr. William Perry was not only a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Palo Alto (indeed, Board President for two years), but was also the Secretary of Defense during three years of the Clinton administration. In recent years, he has devoted considerable thought and effort to moving toward a world free of nuclear weapons. Although he is not optimistic that we will get there anytime soon, his activity has had a major impact on the Obama administration, and has reinvigorated hope about ultimately reaching that goal
On Thursday, July 16, he will present his thoughts at UUCPA in a talk entitled “Reducing the Danger of Nuclear Weapons.” We are fortunate to have such a national figure come to speak at our church, and you will not want to miss this event. Come early to be sure to have a seat.
